On October 17, the third "Silk Road Youth Dream Gathering" award ceremony was held in Beijing. FATHIYA MOHAMED SAID (Chinese name "Wenjing"), a Tanzanian student of OUR university, won the second prize in the speech contest. Wenjing is a 2019 clinical medicine undergraduate in our university. She not only has excellent academic performance, but also outstanding Chinese proficiency. At first, she thought Chinese was too difficult, and she didn't know how to write Chinese characters like paintings. Later, she felt more and more interesting. Attracted by the rich history and connotation of Chinese, she worked hard and appreciated the charm of Chinese culture. At school, she took an active part in practical activities related to Chinese. During the epidemic, she took part in the first Online Chinese competition for International Students in our school and won the first prize. The video of her participation in the United Nations Chinese Day was broadcast worldwide. In addition, Wenjing also offers to help other international students learn Chinese so that they can better understand Chinese culture. "Health is an important issue that young people care about and face. We young people should actively participate in international health exchanges and cooperation to create a better future," she said at the awards ceremony.
