Master students and undergraduates are welcome to apply for the "Innovative Practice Project of International Organization Talent Training" of Jiangsu University in 2020. The relevant matters of application are hereby notified as follows:
I. Project introduction
International organizations of Chinese and foreign cultural exchange center for the implementation of the Ministry of Education personnel training plan, training is familiar with international rules, but also has the fusion quality of workers and peasants "4 c" compound words, compound, elite talent globalization, help the youth initiative in the United Nations sustainable development of global governance, and for graduate and undergraduate students in our school went to the United Nations headquarters, the United Nations industrial development organization, the UN food and agriculture organization and other international organizations internship or office (international civil servants) to create more opportunities, college of international talent in implementing this term "jiangsu university international talent training innovative practice project".
This program is for first-year master students and second-year or above undergraduates who are interested in internships, practice and research in international organizations.
Ii. Teaching content and arrangement
[Program length] The program duration is five semesters. Undergraduate students begin in the first semester of sophomore year and end in the first semester of senior year. Graduate student from grind first semester begin, arrive grind three first semester end.
[Curriculum Setting] The teaching content of this project is generally divided into global governance module, language development module, humanistic quality module, engineering innovation module and practical experience module.
International civil servants career planning workshop in 9.26 at 8 o 'clock on Saturday night, 10.31, 11.27 8 PM Friday at 8 o 'clock on Saturday night, invited three international organizations, international organizations, head of the interns, interpretation of the United Nations international organization career development plans, share international organization in the experience and feeling experience, make the students understanding of the international organizations have a more intuitive, close the distance of students with international organizations. In the course of teaching, lectures will be interspersed with lectures by famous experts in international organizations and global governance for all students.
Global Governance: Participants will take four courses in the following package. Optional courses to explore the UN and its sustainable development goal, based on the United Nations reports global sustainable development research, the UN sustainable development under the goal of the international education development to explore ", "how to make use of commercial and social enterprise sustainable development goal, the sustainable development target under international law and global governance guidelines", "environmental policy and public health policy linkage of the United Nations sustainable development goal, the sustainable development of the global economy: Eight basic courses, "Principles and Practical Studies" and "Entrepreneurship and Technology driving Global Industrial Sustainable Development", are taught by professors from world-renowned universities and international organizations. International Law and Global Governance under the Sustainable Development Goals is a compulsory course, and the other seven students can choose three of them based on their interests and concerns. Please refer to the attached course introduction for details of the eight courses.
Engineering innovation ability module courses: including artificial intelligence, big data, introduction to our school's Industrial and Agricultural technology.
Practical experience module courses: including language improvement and expansion for Chinese and foreign students, short-term volunteer, practice and practical training for international organizations of the school and relevant organizations of the United Nations.
Iii. Assessment methods
[Assessment method] Comprehensive evaluation is made by means of course attendance, classroom participation, discussion and exchange.
[Practical Training Results] Students who have completed all courses and teaching contents and passed the examination will be approved to finish the course, and the international Organization Talent Academy will issue the certificate of completion. The courses of humanistic quality can be recognized for credits with the relevant courses of this major. After passing the comprehensive assessment, the trainees will go to UN headquarters, UN Industrial Development Organization, UN Food and Agriculture Organization, World Food Development Program, International Agricultural Foundation and other international organizations for short-term practical training, and will be awarded official training participation certificate and recommendation letter signed by training guests. After the examination and selection, the trainees will be recommended to participate in long-term internship in the United Nations and work as international civil servants in the United Nations and other international organizations. The completion of the course will enhance the employment opportunities of multinational companies.
Iv. Registration and enrollment
This project adopts the methods of voluntary registration, counselor, tutor, department review, international talent college interview, international organization course online written test and interview to recruit and select students.
Application procedure: Applicants should prepare the application materials and submit them to the Academic Affairs Office of the College of Overseas Education 215 before September 29.
September 30: Confirm the list of selected students
Oct 1- Oct 4: Take international Organization Course online Written Test of English
Oct. 9 - Oct. 18: Online interview for international Organization course
October 19 - October 25: Confirm the student list
